The website All Things D is reporting that Apple has announced it will hold a Fall iPad Event on October 22, 2014. The newest generation of iPad will possibly include:
- a thinner and lighter design much like the iPad Mini
- an improved camera
- running Apple’s new 64-bit A7 chip
- the Touch ID fingerprint sensor that recently debuted on the iPhone 5s
(a big maybe??)
The second-generation iPad mini is also set for an upgrade with a retina display and possibly incorporating the A7.
